In some cases, certain manufacturers restrict access to specific systems (such as security-protected ECUs). If this applies to your vehicle, we will always advise you if dealer involvement is required.

How Our Diagnostic Process Works

Initial Assessment (£124 inc. VAT)

We begin with a comprehensive diagnostic assessment, which includes:

• Visual inspection of your vehicle
• Full system fault code scan
• Review of technical data and vehicle history
• Initial testing using advanced diagnostic tools

This allows us to start identifying the root cause of the issue—not just the symptoms.
Once complete, we’ll contact you to explain our findings and discuss the next steps.

Investigation & Testing

Fault codes alone don’t tell the full story. To accurately diagnose the issue, we carry out further investigation, which may include:

• Testing specific components and systems
• Live data analysis
• Non-intrusive testing methods
• Road testing (where required, sometimes with the customer to replicate faults)

We follow a structured diagnostic process to ensure time is used efficiently and effectively.

Further Investigation (If Required)

Many faults are identified within the initial assessment. However, more complex issues may require additional diagnostic time.

• Additional labour is charged at £84 per hour
• We will always keep you informed before proceeding

Occasionally, resolving one issue may reveal another—this can happen when components have been under strain due to an existing fault.

Why Proper Diagnostics Matter

A basic code read only provides limited information and often does not identify the root cause of a problem.
We invest heavily in:

We do offer a basic code read for £42, but this is for informational purposes only and is not sufficient for proper fault diagnosis.

• Some repairs may evolve as work progresses
• Additional issues may become apparent during diagnosis

In some cases, parts may require replacement due to:
